Our Philosophy

Unlike many competitors, Aqua Blue Designs does our own pool and spa sales, designs, installations, service and warranty work.  We apply for the permit, dig the hole, and install the pool, plumbing and equipment with our own personnel.  This means we control the quality of work to a higher standard.  We install pools and spas within a 100 mile radius of Downtown Kansas City.  We have installed pools from Carthage to Bethany, MO and from Topeka, KS to Grain Valley, MO.  With over a hundred installations, we are one of the most experienced pool companies in our area.  Specializing in low maintenance products and installation techniques, our inground pools and spas allow you to enjoy pool ownership with the least amount of maintenance and upkeep costs.  From the sturdy, beautiful interiors, to the filtration equipment that requires no backwashing, to the crystal clear aqua blue water, we know how to maximize your fun and minimize the work in owning a pool.  To discuss further how we can provide you the lifestyle of pool ownership with the least impact on your busy schedule, please give us a call!

Our Qualifications

We have experience in most installation situations whether in the backyard, rooftop or parking lot.  We have licensed engineers design our larger retaining walls and construction methods for difficult soils conditions.  We have experience using almost all kinds of equipment used to unload, move and place pools in the most difficult locations.  Norm is a Class C Residential Contractor in Johnson County, KS, and the company is licensed to do pool work in over a dozen metropolitan cities.  From initial planning to drawing detailed specifications, to excavation, to high pressure plumbing, we have staff that understands the work to be done.  After the sale, you can be assured that Aqua Blue Designs, Inc. will take care of any warranty issues.  We stock parts for most equipment we sell.  We also have personnel with a technical background who understand the sophisticated electronic controls and systems we install.  Our qualifications allow us to pursue the latest in pool industry automation products with confidence that they will make your life easier.

Our History

Since 2000, the year it was started, the company has been under the same ownership.  From the beginning, we have believed that one-piece fiberglass pools and spas are the best possible method of construction.  The company was incorporated as KC Aquatech, Inc.  Initially, a part of the Blue Haven Pools franchise system, services were marketed under that name until 2006.  At that time, the franchise was discontinued, and the company name was briefly changed to Aquascapes.  In January of 2008, to better distinguish us as a KC Area pool and spa design and installation leader, we changed our name to Aqua Blue Designs, Inc.

Our Location

We are centrally located in Grandview, Missouri.  With the completion of the famous "Grandview Triangle", our shop is easily accessed from any other part of the Kansas City Metropolitan area.  We offer a showroom with sample materials, a full line of pool and spa chemicals and accessories, and a rotating selection of fiberglass pool and spa shells.  You are invited to come by any time to visit us.  We enjoy discussing our company and products.
